Thanks all. Appreciate the feedback. Here's the latest update:

I am replacing the original EVO III rear flap with a carbon flap to match the front splitter. It's just slightly larger than the original, which is nice because it matches the distance the front splitter protrudes from the bumper. The other option was a DTM gurney flap, but I think they're way too big for a street car on 17's without the race spec front spoiler setup.

The carbon flap isn't drilled, so I'm using the original as a template.

You can see that the original flap has tapered holes, so the bolts sit countersunk and flush with the flap surface. This isn't possible with the carbon flap since it's actually hollow on the inside.

That's a factory EVO III bolt on the left. The middle bolt is what came with the carbon flap but it's too short.

Notice the OEM bolt is shorter than the bolt at the far right, that's because the factory flap is contersunk. These carbon flaps use a large machined washer so I needed to purchase some longer hardware.

Sorry for the bad photos. This was late at night. The hardware store only had 6 stainless bolts in the longer size I needed, so I had to buy 2 black bolts which I eventually replaced.

Here it is mounted on the car.

Another view of the front for comparison.

          Fixed the hood gap :D

And up the next morning ready to leave for Bimmerfest.

I literally just stared at that last picture for a 2 minutes, daydreaming about the day I'll own an e30 M3 as nice and as well sorted as this one. Bravo man, you've done an amazing job. Can't for the next update.

                  It's perfect. Absolutely perfect.

Since you have coil overs now, what are you doing about camber adjustments in front and rear? Any toe issues in the rear? Any mods? Eccentric bushing in rear? Camber plates?

                    Thanks a lot guys.

I have Vorshlag plates up front with camber and caster adjustments. Everything is stock in the back except for the shocks and springs. I have no issues with excessive toe. Not planning on running rear plates. There are some weld-in toe adjusters for the rear but I'm really not a fan of those things. I've seen them come loose while driving.

Thank you! Big plans for this car. Will be posting more updates soon.

At the beginning of the summer I was only planning to keep it for a couple of months, but now I think she's a keeper.
