        I'm not a purist, but i'm not a big fan of swapping breeds either

              Right, not to mention the winding road cross swapping brands leads you down.
              I guess if there were more complete e30/sr swaps out there this might actually seem like a fun project. Probably best I just sell.

                Sell that unreliable piece of crap to a Nissan lover and get an M42 or S14 if you want four cylinder. SR20 is pretty much the worst 16v, 2.0 DOHC 4 cylinder engine ever made.

                      Yea the m54 is sitting next to the sr lol. I've got it stripped down to the crank. Headed towards a m50 stroker. I'll put that sr $ back into the e30.

                        Why do people waste their time asking for opinions on shit like this on the forum?! I say swap in which ever engine YOU think is "cooler". At the end of the day you have to have a car you like. It doesn't matter what it costs or how much work you have to put in it, if you only did it because its what the assholes on the forum said to do then you're not going to enjoy the car as much as if you built it YOUR way.

                            i have built an sr 510 and the sr20's are great if i had one like laying around id drop it in an e30. would need a bit more boost then the 510 tho to make up for added weight.

                              Yea I really don't care about cool points. I guess seeing as how there were so many other bastard swaps done to the e30 I imagined this one would've been done a thousand times previously. Good to know that there are patient folks here that are willing to do it. At least now I have another f/s forum to unload this thing aside from the obvious s-chassis ones.
