    2nd e30, 87 Lachssilber Revival

Here it is, my second e30. My first one had a lot of rust and was starting to be unreliable. I got this to be my daily car and hopefully I'll have it for a long time.

    My plans right now
-Lower it, probably just with a bilstein h&r combo ------ DONE (Sport Billy/Race HR)
-Clean up some of the trim as its pretty faded ----ehh
    -New rims maybe ------ DONE
-Fix some minor rust issues before they spread
-Fix a few little problems it has (and its had its share)
    -Enjoy it, of course
-2.9L Stroker build ------ Done ---- And later replaced
    -Euro Bumpers ---- DONE
-Zender Wing? or Mtech 1 ---- Purchased

Eventually a repaint will happen, same color.

Plans for year 2 are in post #55.

Plans for year 3 are in post #120.

As far as I know its the original lachs paint. And the interior is definitely in good condition. I just don't like comfort seats that much, so it may change eventually.

Well with one more paycheck I should have enough to buy shocks and springs. I'm terrible at making choices so this may take awhile. Of course it will be Bilstein sports. The springs are the tough decision. I'm looking up some info but any advice for early models on hr race/sport/super sports or ie3 would be greatly appreciated.

Well here's my little mistake today. I had seen this and ordered VDO odometer gears to finally get it working.

Buutttt BMW thought it would be funny to play a trick on me. Opened up the cluster and here is what I found on the inside.

So my odometer is just going to have to wait a little longer before being fixed. Oh well, these things happen.

                Update time!
I know before I said I was looking into suspensions parts, well somehow I got sidetracked and ordered something else.

                NEW RIMS!!!!
They are Drag Dr-37 16x7 with Falkens 205/50

I think they look pretty good for the price I paid. Now I just need to get it lowered to make it even better. This isn't the best picture but its all Ive taken so far. Maybe Ill go take more if it ever stops snowing here.

There has been way too much snow here recently. I don't know how the people in colder places can deal with the ridiculous amounts of snow they get normally.

Heres my poor car from the storm this past Sunday night. I think it ended up 7-8 inches. I feel bad not having a garage to park in.

Well today I put in a clutch stop I got from JetBlackE46 on here. Its a nice difference. I have it unscrewed most of the way out because my clutch engages so far out.

And on Friday I'll be going home from college for a week long break so hopefully I'll get some good updates in that time.

So today I went to put my shocks and springs on.

                              Here's the before

Here's some during the process. My dads friend owns a shop that he allowed me to use to make the install easier.

                              Obligatory shock comparison pic (fronts)

And some afters. Id like to be a little lower in the front but I'm pretty happy with how it sits now. The ride feels real tight and I don't think its too bumpy/stiff.
