Hey guys... all good... My dad came through for me here, and he used some 3M Finesse-it on it, pulled it right off, I had to apply another coat of paint on the pass side, and I have some more overspray to buff off (The entire car could use a buff job anyways) but after that she will be high and mighty. I am putting in the order with Pelican for the guibo, shifter, timing belt, cap and wires, and some other odds and ends. It should be in around the beginning of the week next week, then about 90% of the maintenance will be finished. Then I can start saving for suspension/wheels/motor. :-D

E30_Pare pshopped my shadowlining black, and I really like it so I went with it, to see what it looks like... I also figured out that this car was originally shadowlined either by a PO or from the factory and someone scrubbed the shadowlining off with what looks like steel wool lol.. the the chrome looked all messed up when you got up close to it. If I told like it blacked out Ill just pull it off or get some new chrome trim... Now question for you guys... should I black out my door trim?Originally posted by flyboyxhow about if i yank the anal beads out of your ass like i'm trying to pull start a chain saw?Originally posted by Northernbeer is my new liver cleanse.

It's done! I'm considering doing a respray on it, due to the fact is chipped in a hundred different places and someone got a little happy with the buffer, will definitely keep it Henna if I do, and I'll have em clear coat it

Yea, But the car was originally blacked out and someone used a sander/steel wool to scratch it off.. It looked like shit up close... I did decide to go with chrome kids. And thanks
I did buy it from one of the more ghetto parts of Dallas?.... lol
Placed a big order with Pelican parts last week, the first part came in Wednesday, the parts I need to actually complete the jobs are back ordered for 5-10 days because they are being shipped over from Germany. So hopefully it all goes smoothly.

There are forum sponsors on here that sell almost anything you could want for an E30. They are usually cheaper than any where else and they price match. Most of my business goes to Steve/Bluntech. Great prices, very professional and helpful, and really fast shipping. Something to look into for future purchases.
There seems to be another side of Steve that thankfully I have not been exposed to. But most people on this site will have good things to say about his business. Check out his feed back. He is a good guy.How to remove, install or convert to pop out windows

I mainly use Bimmerworld, because my dad is sponsored by them.. So we get a discount from them, and they really work with you to achieve an end goal, and Pelican has a lot of the OEM parts. I've heard good things about Bluntech though, so I'll look into them in the future.

So my guibo bolts are stuck. I tried a breaker bar with a pry bar to keep it from twisting, an impact gun. I just sprayed it with PB blaster, any idea on how to get these damn nuts off?
Also, do any DFW guys know of a good paint shop here in the area?
And what the hell is this light for? I can't figure it out

I managed to get 2 of them off, so I only have 3 left.. But it just turns the driveshaft. I soaked em in PB blaster, ill probably go hit em with some more... also my OBC doesn't work, you can see the light, but the entire thing glows, like there are no number readings. You can just see its on. And my the engine oil, coolant, washer fluid, and brake lights buttons are on on the check panel. I just changed the oil, and flushed the coolant. I need washer fluid, I just haven't run out to get some yet, and my brake light works... What is this prompting? bad sensors causing it?Originally posted by flyboyxhow about if i yank the anal beads out of your ass like i'm trying to pull start a chain saw?Originally posted by Northernbeer is my new liver cleanse.

Put the car in gear and have the e-brake on with the rear wheels touching the ground. Unless you are the Hulk, the bolts are made of unobtainium, and you have an affinity for running yourself over, the driveshaft will not move and will give you enough leverage to get the last 3 off after a soak
Does the brake light turn off after you push the pedal? As a safety precaution, It should be on when you first start the car, but turns right off after you push the pedal.
Washer fluid is self explanatory; you just need to refill it. The sensor rarely goes bad.
The oil level sensor generally is pretty foolproof; I would check your oil level to make see you have enough oil.
Coolant sensors commonly go bad; you will need to buy a new sensor if your reservoir is full, but the panel is telling you it's low.
As for the OBC; is it the 6 button clock or the 13-Button computer?Comment

The Hulk comment made me lol. I will have to start the car up and try to see if it goes off, but I just pulled the exhaust out to get the guibo off and found there is a giant hole in the resonator, so that's not going back on. But once I get a new exhaust I will definitely check. I also have a question about the exhaust, does an S5x and M30 require a different exhaust than the an M20? If you get what im asking..
I knew the washer fluid is empty, ive just been too busy to go pick some up.
When I checked the oil level it was fine, once the car comes down from the jackstands Ill check it again.
The coolant level is a little bit low, Im about to have to pull some coolant hoses out to do the timing belt, so Ill wait to top it off. The car isn't being driven right now so filling the coolant isn't really an issue. The sensor just may be bad.
It is a 13 button computer.Originally posted by flyboyxhow about if i yank the anal beads out of your ass like i'm trying to pull start a chain saw?Originally posted by Northernbeer is my new liver cleanse.

Everything that goes on can come off with enough persuasionThe Hulk comment made me lol. Me and my dad managed to get the last 3 off with a little bit of manhandling via the impact gun.

It is a 13 button computer.
Need a new setup, but you can use the same muffler/resonator if you wish; you will have to have the cats that match with the engine for legalization
You can fill it up with water; won't hurt anything unless you REALLY want windshield wiper fluid
If it is on an incline or the front is higher than the rear, it will cause the oil level sensor to read low
Since you are replacing the coolant anyway, you can put some distilled water in the reservoir to check if your sensor is gone. For whatever reason, these sensors are very fragile nd can easily go bad (I've replaced 4; 2 old, 2 new, in 2 years on 2 e30s).
You will need a new computer. I have a a few 13-buttons I'm willing to sell if you want to fix it.Comment

Damn... Would I just need new downpipes? Or a whole new kit? or could I just fabricate something myself if its a small adjustment?Everything that goes on can come off with enough persuasion

Texas is a lot more lenient on their emissions than most states, the county I live in is pretty strict and they put it on the sniffer, but the neighboring county is rural, so they basically just check to make sure you have something that resembles a cat lol. So I may be able to get it done there.
I may do a mixture im not sure.
it was on my driveway which is dead level. so I doubt its that.
Im probably gonna do part water anyways, because the Texas summers are very hot, and with any spirited driving, the motor will run very warm on full coolant.
How much for a 13 button OBC?Originally posted by flyboyxhow about if i yank the anal beads out of your ass like i'm trying to pull start a chain saw?Originally posted by Northernbeer is my new liver cleanse.
