Opinion's needed on my Dinan E30 (no 56k)

IMO:
*the tails are too dark, smoked is okay, but just not that dark - all reds might look better actually
*shadowline for sure
*rear plate filler, doesn't matter which tails you go with
*suspension should be done regardless of what else you decide
*the wheels need some polishing or refinishing to brighten them up, especially the lips IF you're going to keep those - diff. wheels would transform the car though
*"is" rear spoiler OR even better, the Mtech I especially since you have a sedan, it's size would be a better fit
*"is front spoiler - WHITE not black
*Euro grilles
*Euro smilies would look the part on there too
*get your trim together, either both US or both Euro
*new fogs? - expensive yes, but sooo worth it
*and lastly and prolly the most controversial, black those kidneys!

Did you get those tails on ebay? I've seen those, I think they are actually nice looking, white might not be the best cool for them but I think they still look good. Nice car

I'll do a photoshop of what I feel you should do. Most of the ideas are already posted here, specifically Mr. Wells comments...

But get some Kodiak lips for those badass wheels after you slam that car. Would look sick.

Also, you can take a dremel to those pitted fogs and machine them down (so to speak) and they'll give you a crystal clear shine. I know Mike (e304lyfe) did it, and it looked great.

I think you went a little to dark with the tint and you can definately tell you painted them yourself. I say start saving for some real mods like suspension.

I'm trying to keep it as original as possible, but I'm a "modder" so it's hard to look at it and not want to change a bunch of shit :(

Ignore that haha... I had to take it off, it was flaking and peeling and shit from being on there for 15 years lol. I'm ordering a new one.

what do you guys think about painting all of the lower section's of the car to match? Any pictures of this on a white sedan?

I think the tails look ridiculous, way too dark. I don't like your car overall: I'm not a big four door fan, 4x4 ride height, ugly/small rims. It IS a classic Dinan turbo beast, and a great sleeper though. I just can't get down with out it looks at all.

I wouldn't change a thing. If you keep running a euro plate put the filler in.

btw: I think all the smoked stuff looks horrible, and that everybody needs to get over this silly "i hate amber" stitch. Smoked lights makes me think of trailer trash Camaros and Mustangs. If anything, I'd prefer clear...

heres what i would do:
original tails
Maybe an 'is' lip, but i've come to like the original 'i' lip
NO trunk lip. Absolutely not. Trunk lips look so stupid on 4 doors. Don't even get me started...
euro grills and smilies and rear plate thing
preserve window and door trim because it nicely ties in the front kidney and, when you replace it, the DINAN badge on the boot - for that "chrome" look you desire.
shine up the wheels
address all fading issues - make the blacks look black, cleaner, polished whites - edit: not for "contrast," for relief, to accentuate the appearance of longer, more dynamic lines on a 4 door.

Harsh... but I do agree to a point. Too dark and the 4x4 will be gone this spring/summer too. I'm not a fan of the rims either so I do NEED opinion's on what would look classy and not over the top.

This car actually came with a supposed set of Euro Grills, but I didn't look at them too much. Does anyone have a picture with an Alpine colored Euro Grillz :) And I'm not like a "chrome" fanatic or anything, I just like the classic bmw chrome accents that they put on.

I don't like the tailights at all. definintely needs suspension, but instead of an is lip try painting your i lip body color. I've come to like mine (looks much better with the front end lower though). for wheels, you might hate cleaning them but some fresh euro baskets would be sweet, those wheels are just blah.

I'd probably leave the Dinan badge off too.

Tails are way, way too dark. The tint makes them look too big and black. And loose the wheels and get some suspension on there.

It will look like crap along the rocker panels since this section is really wavy by design and the car will look unfinished. Someone on this board painted theirs all white I just don't remember who. IMO don't do anything too outragous with the width of the wheels b/c it stands out too much compared middle part of the body.
