That would total a car 20 years newer. Be respectful when they put an offer on the table, supply receipts and look for a professional appraiser to value the car on your dime. It will be worth the money. If you were in CA I'd be able to refer you to one. Best of luck.
I have a buddy importing a touring next month. (He's tooling it around Germany now)..not sure how soon he'll be listing it though.1989 325is / 2.7, 274 cam, e30 M3 5-lug

Fight hard dude with insurance, They will totally it but you can totally get 7-10k for it. Link lots of minty 4 door e30s that are 7k plus, and send copies of receipts of stuff you bought for 24v swap, and finally link price of the 5 lug and swap parts from a wrecking yard website. They almost always give in when you overwhelm them with info.
I got 7k for my completely stock 88 Seta, which i bought back for 1k and parted for 5k. So I guess you could say I won.1989 BMW 325is | 2019 Ford Ranger FX4willschnitz

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'll definitely be paying the salvage fee, I doubt the insurance will pay out what it's worth, being that it's e36 M3 5 Lug, mint black interior, and S50/ZF swapped.world renown Harry Potter expert

Thanks guys, I appreciate the encouragement.
To date I have put all of my receipts into a spreadsheet including the invoice number on each so if they question any of them I have the proof. I also found 14 comparables around country and have saved all of them as pdfs. Any other suggestions of what I could do to be proactive? It's also being sent to a high end repair shop which does a lot of bmw's in seattle.
