Seems this car found it's way to a good owner. Nice work! That piston damage is nearly comical. What is that plate that came loose? Some sort of block off plate in the manifold? I can't tell from the photo.

      Thanks!

The plate in the intake is the DISA valve, the bolts that hold the plate in it's place came loose and destroyed my engine. I can't find anything online of this happenings so I guess this is not a common problem. Lucky me!

I've only heard of that happening one other time in an e36 with the disa valve screws. Sorry that it happened to you!

But, on a positive note, THAT INTERIOR

That is just an e36 m42 intake. Pretty much the same as the later m44 intake.

                  Thanks!

It is an early E36 M42, about the same age as the car itself.
The color is Daytona Violet, don't know about the code.

I'm seriously thinking about some seat covers for when i need to drive it with dirty clothes. It doesn't look as good but it keeps this interiour perfect for when i take them off.

                      Nice car! ^Jupiler beer.

Wikipedia: Jupiler is a Belgian beer brewed by Anheuser–Busch InBev at Piedboeuf Brewery in Jupille-sur-Meuse, Belgium. It is the biggest-selling beer in Belgium.

I'm gonna try Jupiler and Bavaria too while I'm at it. Thanks!

Nice to see another Daytona touring here, makes me want to update mine as well. You should get the iS side skirts though.

Still, great car, keep up the good work!
