None of this is being installed until I order AWE intercoolers. I've been debating for weeks, and decided to stick to my guns and not cheap out on a fmic and destroy my bumper in the process.

And alB5, you should definitely get one. They are awesome cars all around. I need to get a different car for DD duty, it makes me sad putting 100+ miles a day on this.

You should go with ER or AMD smic's. I had the awe's, but the former are better.

        Terrible video, just killing clutch.

        Boost gauge installed.

Hose was getting crushed at running temperature, so I rigged up a sleeve out of a pen. Ghetto, I know.

Methanol controller pre-wired and ready for install.

Just ordered all new fittings, nozzles, and hose for the methanol kit. Oh yes.

        Anyone remember my last project?

Well, this one better make that one look like a Civic.

I got sick of listening to nothing but conservative talk radio for my 2.5 hour round trip commute each day.....

Also installed this guy (Yes I will clean up the wiring, I also need to find a quick release way to secure it.)

Had the sub laying around for years. I originally tried my Comp 10 but the box is way to small for it and the thing sounded like shit. The MTX sub is designed for a smaller enclosure and sounds 10X better. Serves me right for not considering the specs on my Subwoofer when ordering a box.

Finished the methanol install last night. This car has become quite the sleeper. Still running stock exhaust but it has an awesome note at WOT.

I haven't gotten a chance to bump timing but already noticed a significant improvement in the top end, most likely because I'm still on stock intercoolers so I'm getting a ton of benefit from the water.

Will post photos tomorrow some time.

ETA: don't mind the hacked methanol pump. I cracked the housing when replacing the fitting on the output. It was seeping during use, so I slabbed some jb water weld on there. I've already ordered a replacement head so that will be properly repaired by the end of the week.

Wouldn't know there's an 88mm maf in there. As stock looking as it can be and I don't plan to change that. I am seriously considering sticking with the stock cat back and putting electric or boost actuated cutouts on the midpipes.

Well, it looks stock under the hood... I was tempted to hide the controller but decided I liked the idea of it being in my line of sight. It will tell me if there is an issue, so best not to hide it.

My AFR is dipping into mid 10s, so I just did a quick tune edit. Added 5* from 4k and up, and pulled a little fuel at max load. Got it back to the high 10s and the car already feels amazing. I need to do some more work on the tune, I'd like to get it around 11.5, but for now it almost feels like going from stock to stage 1 all over again. Can't wait to get a fmic and these big baby snails installed. For now though, its sufficient. I might just keep the k03s on until they die.

Something like that, a little pricey since I'll need two but still less than an exhaust and better performance. Plus I could flange them and yank out for inspections. My Miata failed a VA inspection due to an aftermarket exhaust so I would rather not deal with that on this car. I've seen some where people basically just buy the biggest external wastegate they can find and bolt it onto a Y.

Also, found that quick release method.

No drilling, no permenant modifications. Holds it in place and will come out in under a minute for track fun.

                        Time to vent here.

Got the car running like a champ, tune was about complete as of last night, then today I'm logging on the way to work and my AFR is about .5 high and my timing pull has jumped from a max of 3* to over 10 at times.

Thinking something is up with my methanol injection, and I'll figure it out, but it's frustrating.

                            Lol so true.

I checked the methanol pump and my hack (patch) job was wet. So it appears my patch is leaking, not sure if that's the culprit but the replacement head will be here today, so I'll find out tonight.

Well I installed the new cap, and when I disconnected the feed line from the pump it had much more pressure than usual. So while I was in there I took apart the check valve, and found nothing. Put it all back together except for the charge pipr side and tested, working fine. I suspect the check valve got stuck somehow, as my fluid level didn't move at all yesterday. So I decided to go ahead and remove the engine cover over the TB. The heat build up can't be helping.

Now today, AFR is low-mid 11's again and back at around 3* CF with the highest so far 5*.

Not going to get my hopes up, but so far so good.

I need to slip the clutch, this was more of a preload and let it go situation, and killed 1st gear. Thinking that slipping the clutch would could drop a half second off this sad 0-60
