You're absolutely right. Single turbo madness is fantastic, because as long as you have the bottom end, clutch, and fuel, you are a turbo swap and a tune away from more hp.

My Evo made 500whp on 93 and no meth, with 29psi hitting at ~3200rpms.

    You're gonna have some fun!

Nah, I'm just in love with what I've been able to do with this car for a relatively small amount of money.

    I mean, why stop?

Crazy will be when I realize that the s256 is just too small for my goals and I put a s366 in there.

One step at a time though. Gotta focus on the house for now. But, this is definitely happening, and I can't wait.

Picked up turbo and wastegate today.

And... This is already getting out of hand. He offered it up, and I said what the hell.

So, now I'm going to shoot for 700awhp on the juice. The nitrous will be brought into the occasion after I've got everything dialed in on e85.

Lol, at the rate I'm going we'll be at 700 wheel before long. I'm excited to go single though, bigger power will just be a turbo swap away.

The new engine will get rods, new rings, hone, bearings, and a girdle. Blocks seen to crack around the 600wtq mark. The girdles haven't really been proven, but then again I haven't found any blocks cracking with one on.

Anywho, 600whp should be fun for a while. I'd love to pull off some 13xmph traps.

So I've worked out a deal to pick up a BF (late, stronger block), 2.8 cams, and 2.8 exhaust manifolds.

I've also worked a trade with a close friend for a freshly clipped/balanced S256, 38mm wastegate, and random odds/ends like feed/return lines and possibly a big BOV.

Total cost at this point will be +$800. Turbo and parts I will be trading another toy for, and the block/cams/manifolds is a trade for my current turbos/in/maf + $800 from him.

I've already got a decent Mig welder, so I'm going to buy a TIG welder and make this shit happen.

Shooting for 500-550 on 93+meth, and 600+ on e85. I'll be wringing the s256 for all it's worth.

Unfortunately, still early in planning. I won't be wrenching in this until after I'm settled into the new house.

the engine needs to come out for a trans rebuild and replacement 1-2 shift collar. Common issue, Audi updated the part.

While it's out, I think it's time for an upgrade. Let's shoot for 600awhp.

Need a DD though that I don't care about running into the ground, and will pass inspection. So Saab has to stay.

If I'm not driving it every day, I'm not too concerned with keeping the inspection up to date.

30k? I deal in sub 10k areas lol.

Anyway, 1st or 2nd gen viper is slower than my S4. 3rd gen is about even, but the salty wound hits when my daughter rows her imaginary oar from the back seat.

Also, I would need to grow a mullet to drive an old Viper, and I'm just not ready for that.

    Ahem... *cough cough*

We all love to dream. It’s what keeps us getting up at the crack of dammit and working until we’re too old to care. However, some dreams—like owning a 500 horsepower iconic American supercar—are delightfully within reach. If you think the Mazda Miata is good weekend car for the money, get a load of this.
