I would say that's definitely a factor, the merge is very far up, it's right around the transmission mount crossmember. I think the top end will get a lot stronger with some help from Frank. I talked to him about my lean idle issue, and he said with the 3.5" exhaust and the set-back bung that Innovate uses, there probably isn't enough velocity at idle to properly register on the wideband, which is why my readings are so high.

yeah it looks like you're already making more power after 4k with a stock tune. I think you'll probably get some of that low end back.

there was a guy on "M3forum.net" put the merge too close and killed the torque by 40-50rwtq sub 4000rpm compared to stock, moved it back near where BMW tend to put it (2nd harmonic) and it all came back.

the shape of the curve suggests that the tune at low rpm is not optimised for the setup in anycase but even if that is optimised it is unlikely to bring back the all the torque.

the swap looks very clean. i'm curious as to why you went with a huge 3.5" exhaust headers back.

S54 likes huge exhaust - 3.5" is dyno proven.

I agree with digger, merge placement could be making a big difference here.
