I always thought they were plenty bright.. feel the same way about 55w H1s, I just can't see a point to $300 HIDs aside from bling. h4s have almost the exact same pattern as ellipsoids too.

I guess the cutoffs are deceiving. Meh, they're all dim when you've got HIDs. :D

Exactly. Elipsoids have the visual appeal, but H4's get the job done and if they break, you're not going to have to kill yourself to repalce them.

I did not notice before you did not have ellipsoids. Looks fine but I assure you with Osrams they put out much more light.
