Out putting some finishing touches on mechanical items and taking her for a few spins today. Running very well.

Started work on repairing my hardtop. I think it will come out nice. Will get painted body color when all said and done.

    Hardtop progress:

Before: (only have photo of inside) about an 8 inch long hole in the top from a tree branch falling on it.

    After:

Out working on the hardtop today. Stripped and mostly sanded. Needs some filler and more sanding.

            Great Looking Car

I really like the work you have been doing

I'm in MA and have an e30 vert which I have owned since new.

Once you have had a chance to drive yours some more, I 'd like to pick your brain re coilovers and polyeurethane bushings

            Spring cannot come soon enough

Thanks! It's really come out very well thus far. Unfortunately, it looks like the car will most likely go up for sale shortly in order to fund another project - it will be a good one though.

I've driven roughly 30-40 miles on the current setup and, although it needs some tweaking, it's quite nice. Feel free to shoot me any questions, I also have a thread for the coilover review.

Well, decided to sell my hardtop to help fund my ever increasing projects - picked up an e24 m6 that I will be redoing this spring/summer.

With that said, there has been little movement on the e30 project. My suspension has yet again changed - because everyone needs a bagged vert.

And I started prepping the seats to go in. Still need to clean the carpet up before things start going back in, though.

Back at it lately. Trying to get this thing wrapped up so I can enjoy it this year.

Air bags and lines are all installed. I have just about cleaned up all the wiring and I made an enclosure to hide the air management.

                  Messing with wiring:

                  Bags in, starting on management:

Box thing to hide air management:

For those who are wondering, the air setup is as follows:

                  Fronts:
                  - Aero Sport bags
                  - Ksport adjustable coilover struts

                  Rears:
                  - Slam Specialties RE-7 bags
                  - Stance adjustable coilover rear shocks

                  Management
                  - Accuair VU4 8 way manifold
                  - Fablab Pressuryte auto leveling
                  - Viair 480c compressor
                  - AVS 7 switch controller
                  - Also doing an OE window switch wired as an "all up/down" switch and an OE window kill switch button wired as an "on/off" for the auto leveling system

I powered it up and messed around with it, seems pretty cool. Had to disconnect it to pretty up all the wiring and routing, though.

                    Here is the switch setup.

Window switch at the top is full car up and down. Kill switch at the bottom is the auto level on/off. I have a 7 switch controller as well but i plan on these being the main 2.

Had to relocate the battery in order to finish the air management wiring the way I wanted to.

Picked up a 0 gauge amp wiring kit and a terminal block then did this. Looks pretty good.

And yes, my engine bay is FILTHY. Working on a car outside for a year will do that. It will get a much needed wash after the new soft top is installed.

How it sits currently at 0 psi. I will be turning down the fronts a bit and dialing in the rear shock height so I can ensure I have appropriate travel at ride height.

New soft top needs to go on soon, but I've een spending my time working on my girlfriends V70 XC DD, which I just put some wonderful KW V2s on as a birthday present to her.
