I have a few in Sacramento that I would need to pull out of storage to make the picture really worth it. The photo would also make me look borderline mental.

I bought all the parts for it, I just have to jump in. I was planning on starting tomorrow but I really want to pick up the tii from San Diego and tinker with it. I'm so excited for it. I don't know why I always get stuck with the color Malaga on my tiis. This is the second Malaga tii I've owned. WTF is this some kind of sick joke?

But yeah, I'll probably start on the headliner pretty soon. That car is so close.

I like Malaga, and the lady likes purple cars so I might be able to convince her.... IF you are willing to sell

never willing. you'll have to pry it from my hands with lots of cash. That's basically the only way I part with cars. Or if you catch me on a day where I'm feeling nice.

I like the color too. I'm glad it's the original paint color.

I'm debating starting another build thread for the Malaga 73 tii. I've learned a lot about this car over the last few days. It has a very cool history.

Give the malaga it's own thread. Every 2002 is special, like a snowflake but sometimes like a short bus.

I'm giving up on the 1600 headliner. I followed the installation guide currently on the FAQ and the first thing that happens after I slip in the headliner bows and install in their correct holes, is a nice big split in the headliner and now I can see the bow from INSIDE THE CAR. I almost lit the whole shop on fire, I was so pissed.

So I called Coupeking and asked them to do it for me. It's going to cost me some coin, but f that. I can't even handle this right now.

Erik at Coupeking told me that BMW's headliners have been splitting very easily over the last year of production, and that he has been sending his out for reinforcement. I may have to do the same. But I'm afraid to take it out because it's so new and light colored, that even looking at it wrong will make it dirty.

unless its going to be a show car, the headliner is going to get a little dirty anyways. I redid mine and after 5 years its a little marked here and there. but it's so much nicer than the original was. the headliner is a pain to stretch correctly. bmw makes these little metal clips that can be used to hold the headliner in place once you got it positioned/stretched.
