From a value perspective, modifications will make the car worth less, as well as less desirable (moot point if you don't plan to sell ever).
From another perspective it took dedication to keep the car as clean as it is until you bought it, why not continue to keep it unmolested and well kept?
I agree with clarkson, its your car, and you are more then entitled to do whatever you heart pleases with the car. But, it is still a shame to see.Your resource to do-it-yourself and interesting bmw and e30 stuff: www.rtsauto.com

Beautiful car OP. The grey carpets look so much better then all red like you see on others. You picked up a fine example!
To reply to the other topic going on here, whats the point of keeping a car completely stock? Have a little fun with the damn thing, just don't to mods that are irreversible and your golden.

Everybody wants a stock car yet no body really wants a stock car. Nothing wrong with the mods he has planned as they are basic. I'd add a chip or alpha N to that list as well. Wheels, suspension, tail lights are all easy to change. Just keep the stock parts."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
