he didnt told me the reason. he just said that he had it over 20 years and now its done... he dont want to see it on the streets again. he also wanted to bring it to a junk yard and see it crashed in front of his eyes. i accepted this and didnt ask him more why :)

It is a fishy sounding seller, but there really could be a weird thing this guy has with the car, too. There are very strange folks out in the world.
