    M3 Replica M50 Turbo

    Hey r3v,

    New to the forum. Here's my old Turbo. :D
    Back in 1985 it came out of the factory as an 325e. Not really that fun...
    It was later in it's life imported from the States to Sweden. (Much easier to get it roadlegal here in Sweden as an imported US car.)
    Rebuilt with a complete E30 M3 body. Back fenders are genuine M3, the rest of the body is fibreglass which makes it light and nimble.

    The old engine is gone and instead a M50 Non-Vanos fills up the enginebay.
    Makes 704whp and 823wNm @ 1,74bar so it's pretty fast. :roll:
    Specs are as follows:
    Bottom:
    * Balanced 328 crank
    * Forged 135mm Sten parner H-rods
    * Forged CP pistons 84.5mm
    * ARP bolts everywhere
    * 3,5mm MLS gasket
    * PPF girdle
    * Linehoned block

    Cylinderhead:
    * Harder valvesprings
    * Titanretainers
    * Slightly ported
    * Cams Intake 280' Exhaust 270' 11mm duration
    * Plenum in ALU

    Turbo:
    * Precision PT 6765
    * Tial MV-R 44mm Wastegate

    Ignition:
    * 3st MSD 8224 dubblecoils driven by VEMS ECU
    * MSD streetfire cables
    * NGK BCR8ES plugs

    Fuel:
    * 2st Deatschwerks DW301
    * Bosch 2200cc
    * E85

    Drivetrain:
    * 328/M3 5-speed gearbox.
    * B&M Shortshift
    * Sachs 765 pressureplate
    * CNC milled flywheel
    * 4-puck Sinterplate
    * 210 Diff from e28 M535

    Still got plenty of plans for the car. But I will try to keep it "streetable" so to say...

          Really not a fan of the tail lights or exhaust, but the rest of the body looks well done!

          Also, holy fuck that things quick :p

              Looks like mine minus the M3 body and boost.

              However boost will come, soon.

              How is the 3SDM service on your side of the pond?

              Also, I like it.

                Yeah, I know. That exhaust was a temporary fix. Got a new coming up this spring with DTM style instead. :)
                It's pretty fast. :D But it will get faster. :devil:

                Thanks!

                Looking forward to see your build, you can never have to much boost in your life. :nice:

                I'll have to say the service is really good, since 3SDM is based in the UK and Sweden ain't that far away.
                I'm thinking of going classic again though with some BBS. Or perhaps M5 Throwing Stars.
                Got a set of each already so no harm in trying anyway.

                        That is a sexy car. I'm jealous of that M3 bodywork - always thought about doing it but I haven't the slightest clue on what it'd take to get done properly.

                        And what do they put in Sweden and Norway's water that makes everyone there have such insane BMW builds? I salute you all.
