Sooooo... after a lot of soul searching and pouting as I look at the transmission tunnel and how much more I'll have to cut and re-weld, all the shifter modifications I'll have to do, the engine and transmission mounts, the oil pan sitting uncomfortably close to the earth I decided to switch gears (literally).

I bought a newer 1JZ-GTE instead :) it may come with it's own set of headaches but at least maybe this way I'll be able to drive the thing in 2019.

Slightly disappointed because of how awesome an ecoboost would be, but also not because 1js are fantastic

It was a 51/49 decision for me too, but ultimately if I decide I want to make more power the 1jz will be much more willing.

Well. Can't say I'm disappointed, but can't say i'm not disappointed. This is a weird feeling. 1JZ is still no joke. Gonna be roasting tires in 2019.

Yeah it is sort of bittersweet really, but damn, that 1jz will be so much better overall.

Worked on the relay panel a bit, starting to get a patch harness built.

something super satisfying about making a DT connector.
