Older Nissans are rock solid reliable. My 93 Pathfinder (back when SUVs were real trucks unlike today) took whatever I threw at it and came out purring like a kitten. My pops bought it new, changed the oil once a year, gave it to me with 200k, and it never once left him or I stranded.

Soon people, soon. I don't want to get started until I have everything, so I can hit it all at once. Andrew and I are going to go at this all at one time, and work until we get it done.
        uh.. 8 now.

Yay for that. Too bad my dumbass crashed my 87....and had to pick up an 89....i do really dislike my lower arches and big tailights...argh..theres just something about the older e30s that turn me on....

Rivets might be strong enough to hold it, but I'd advise using a back-up attachment system. Have you considered using body panel adhesive rather than Bondo or glass resin?

I've seen this stuff in action, and it's pretty impressive. Several of my body shop clients have been using this system for years, and they swear by it. Of course, they're just production shops, and usually work on brand new cars instead of custom/hot rods, but they do a LOT of work with the stuff.

                Paypal is jnhanderson@yahoo.com... :D

Trust me, I wanted to get started on this so bad I can't stand it. But I can't afford to put my car out of commision any sooner than I have to. My bumpers will most likely be here this coming week, and we'll get started next weekend.

I'll be starting a new thread in the "Body and Paint" forum once we start, this one was just to be a teaser.

To you 3 diving board fans, I apologize.

But there comes a time in every early model E30 owner's life when you will look at your reflection in the mirror, and ask yourself,

                        "Am I a fool?"

Well, with God as my witness, I AM THAT FOOL! BUT NO MORE!

                            They sold with the airdam.

Andrew and I are painting everything ourselves. My father in law has spray guns, I have a compressor now, and I can get a quart of DCC single-stage paint in my car's color for about $115
