Paint it, bit leave a little of the CF exposed in some "stealth" way. Pic of a 2002 with painted CF hoon but left "fake" hood vents as exposed CF.

Other pic is a E30 CF hood painted, but left a small strip of CF next to the vents.

I'd paint it, but that's always my personal choice. any CF parts I end up with will be painted.

I vote no paint. I don't mind the look of a cf hood one bit. Not that many people do it, and I think your m3 pulls it off better than most. And like you said, once you paint it, you can't go back.

I like the clear candy over carbon look. At some angles you can't even see the carbon, at others its stands out so well its nuts but at the same time it makes it look so deep you feel like you should be able to stick your hand "in" it.

Definitely swap the CF to the track car and go back to stock. Your car is incredibly sexy and the only thing that detracts from it is that the CF doesn't really go with how clean the rest of the car is.

Definately paint it. The carbon fiber hood doesn't match the rest of your car at all. It stands out too much (and not in a good way).

While I voted don't paint it, that is only for the poor fitment reasoning. Your car is hot as hell all one color. Go carbon showing carbon or go stock.

I voted to paint it, but paint it like this:

Do what this guy did. He had the paint that he had his car painted with mixed with clearcoat, and then had the hood painted with it, so it tinted the clearcoat the color of the car. This was the single HOTTEST looking CF hood I've ever seen. I think this is exactly what you should do.

Go with Josh's idea. That way you'd have a car that looks OEM at a distance, but hot as shit close up. Plus, you'd have one of only a handful of cars with tinted CF.
