I know, and when I dug up the proof with the pic of the one he had cut out of his crap hood, he got all bent out of shape and started trying to defend himself with "that was a shit hood, did you actually think I was going to use that" and all this crap about how it was just to see how it would look.

Um, yea. An aerospace engineer (Gustave), and most race car teams in the world (this idea was though up by Mclaren back in the sixties, iirc) would disagree with you.

Having a vent there has two purposes, allows alot of hot air coming through the radiator to dissipate, and it also serves a purpose as an aerodynamic aide, which when this kind of vent was originally implemented, was a completely unknown side effect.
