New to the r3v, but not to E30s. My father bought this car in 1988 new off the showroom. At the time he wanted a BMW and bought the base 4-door 5MT 325. All that time it has stayed in our garage and driven only 112K miles. It suffered a timing belt failure at 75K miles according to the old man and was fixed w/ a new head. He wanted it out of the driveway and I told him I would love to have another car to keep the miles off my WRX. Lo and behold it turns out the car is a Super Eta. Well after almost 2 years, the car has finally been transformed from a Super Eta to a 327i via "i" cam, valve springs, intake mani, 173 DME, 19# injectors, tachometer, and AFM. The compression ratio is still the stock 8.5:1, but it definitely pulls better than it did when it was a Super Eta.
Next up is H&R sport springs and bilstein sports. Sorry to say though, the diving boards are definitely staying and I think the 1988 model pulls them off a little better. It will receive some body work and a repaint at some point and the bumper surrounds and mirrors will be painted silver. Its definitely a fun car and more comfortable to drive around in than my WRX.
