Yea 400hp on stock internals for a 4cyl is certainly over rated.

BTW, there are a couple of RB25-E30's running round here in NZ, so its not like it can't be done.

Hell someone on this forum is dropping in an RB26 ffs.

But on the other hand, here in NZ the SR swap is more common than the M50 swap! On our local forum www.bimmersport.co.nz , we have probably 10 SR swaps, and maybe 3 M5x swaps.

A nicely tuned ecu from the folks as RS enthalpy.

My roommates have used a few of them on various other unmentionable turbo 4 cylinders, and have had great results so I decided to ditch my e-crapage and try it.

Delphi 550cc injectors on a custom rail + walboro(?) or whatever pump I need for the e30, and a nismo FPR.

I've seen the RB in e30, and a few of the NZ guy's ones at that, but I still thought it was too much work and downtime to do it justice. In my heart i'd still like to give it another go, but this car will come out more like myself, if that makes any sense. It's a very maeda car with a KA-T in it. It feels somehow 'just right' in the cosmic sense.

Apparently, nissan motors are made for BMWs.

The tranny mount BOLTs up to the bmw holes. Go figure.
S13 Radiators also fit perfect. Go figure.

The motor is in! My koyo radiator from my old car is in there, along with a nice fmic from my old car, sandwhiched between the bumper, valence and the rad support area.

Pics to come. Sorry I forgot my camera.

I guess i would rather go with an engine that comes stock turbocharged (SR20)with intake, front mount full exhaust a bar of boost and a walbro that would last ages than a KAT thats going to last as long as you dump money into it...but this will be a fun swap.. ill wait for pics!

Have you ever owned a 350rwhp SR? It's a lot more money then a 350rwhp KA, and they don't last as long. Thus far my KA-t has outlasted 8 350rwhp+ sr's of all my friends motors combined.

it's a moot point, sr fanboys will say anything. ka-ts are no joke, at 10psi, they outperform any sr running 10psi, plus, the aftermarket is really growing for the ka, and parts are usually a good bit cheaper. btw, i used to own a 240 with a ca18 in it. good times is all i have to say.

Nope and i will never own a 350+ WHP SR, it will be 250+ and will last for over 150k!!! It's kinda funny how you keep throwing out this performance jibber when i clearly stated at first i was talking about RELIABILITY. If i would have known you were going for 350+ whp in a KA from the get go i would have loughed to myself earlier and not even wasted all this time to write this shit down. Personaly i think it's cool that you are doing something different but to me the KA is trash... I also have friends with SR's and KAT's... From my observations it seams like the KA guys have ALOT more problems than the SR guys... Anyway goodluck none the less and i hope the best for your KA's internal's....
