so are the rear brakes of z3m's different from m3's but and the fronts are the same? I dont get why the rears would bolt up with a different flange but the fronts wont.Comment

Yeah actually the ft rotors are the same and I'm pretty sure the calipers are also the same part number .
So if thats the case then yes I guess you could bolt on mz3 parts .
WTF is up with the jack-off questions ??
You guys should check out the appropriate forums .Comment

M3 fronts are the same as mz3. The rears are different. z3m rear trailing arms will bolt right in giving you mz3 rear brakes.
Alas, none of these parts are on this car currently, although I do have all of them. E30 m3 parts only on this badboy so far.

I am out for a meet so we will see what kind of criticism I get tonight. But I could really care less. Its kick ass!sigpicComment

Was it a bitzatch changing the rear bearings? I have heard it totally sucks.
That is how I am planning on doing my swap as well. I have almost everything I need except the front left strut housing - that I might have to go new for.'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

The steelies, although not loved by some, are loved by me. And thats what matters :) Glad most people here like them like I do. My SSR's? You mean my 4x100 16's? Or do you mean my 5x120 17's? Many have asked where I got these, I am the first person I know to have and rock them. So I dont know if I should tell all, but oh well. OEM from the dealer. Thats all I am gonna say. I have a few more shots that I will post up in a few from a pitstop tonight. The fronts will be on by next weekend when I find a free evening.sigpicComment

Hey Groupie.
Now that we have discovered what type of FAGs you bring home, please let us know more about your rear hub and front suspension. Is that e30 M3 rear and front, or e30 M3 rear and e36 front? If it is the later, do you need different wheel offset front to back?
BTW I think that steelies is very original and doesn't look out of place. Not to mention that they certainly are available for cheap from aftermarket.Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

I am going to be putting the e30 m3 front brakes on later this week. With the e36 brakes on the e30 m3 strut, you have to use the 12mm SBI rotor spacer, so naturally, 12mm higher offset wheels or a smaller spacer on the outside of the brake rotor. Same offset of wheels, just need to do some simple addition/subtraction to figure out what spacers etc to run dep on the wheels.Hey Groupie.

I opted to install the e30 m3 fronts instead of the e36 ones due to the fact that I can sport 15 on the e30 m3 stuff, but only 17's on the e36 fronts. Since I have some 16x8's coming, I wanna be able to use them.
Not only are these cheap and available, they have a higher offset and require spacers on e30's, so they clear your kits! :)sigpicComment
