    So those rims are steelies? Not those "aluminium sheet metal rims", sorry I don't know what tehy really are called in english, but new BMW's have rims that are made from aluminium sheet metal, rather than steel sheet.
    Current:

    BMW 320i 2d 2.0 m20 -88
    BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88
    BMW 316i touring 1.6 m40 -90
    BMW 320i 4d 2,2 m54 -01

        If I had 5*120 car I'd use alu sheet rims, they might be impossible to widen thou.

            the mz3 rears (m coupe/roadster) will not bolt into any e30 trailing arm directly. You will either need a modified bracket, or the mz3 trailing arms/axles, which are a direct replacement into an e30.

            The only direct bolt on replacement in the rear without modifications/adapters is e30 m3 calipers and rotors with hub flanges and brake backing plate on 325 trailing arms.

            I have all these parts and have checked fitment options multiple times.

                  Nice job on the research. BMW is the shit that way; if it's BMW, then it probably fits your car.
                  so you are running the 17's with a spacer? what's the ET?

                  p.s. I know that most times, those wheels just get tossed at the dealership, you probably got a really GREAT deal on them.

                    17x7 et47. Running H&R 25mm spacer. For an e46 330. There happy?

                    They get tossed? Nobody at the dealerships up here had even seen them before. I bought them new through a friend through the dealer. List is like 85 or somethin.

                        Would these work on a 318iS? But you have to go the same route everyone else did when it comes to the front suspension?

                        And you can only run E36 offsets in the rear now?

                        You have these bearings, and an E30 M3 hub flange. Thats it? Thats all it takes for the rear? But the front is all E30 M3 stuff? I REALLY want to do this if its this easy, I would love to have this as my summer project!

                          I will have to cross reference to see if this would work on a 318is. theoretically it should. but I know the axles are different on th m42 powered cars. I will check later tonight.

                          As previously covered, the only way to convert the front is with the m3 strut tubes etc. That is what I am doing this week.

                          I don't get where you have the impression that I can only run high offsets ie e36. I just wanted these steelies. in order to make them fit, I had to add 25mm spacers, netting a et22 offset. I can run any m3 wheels almost with the right spacers.

                          Lastly, you don't technically even need the bearings. I just figured I would do them as the flanges etc were going to be off. good thing too as one bearing popped open upon removal. All you NEED is e30 m3 rear hub flange, and e30 m3 rear brake rotors and calipers.

                            Ah okay, so I thought you had found some magical shortcut, when it was there all along. You have E30 M3 offset but you chose to rock the baller steelies, makes sense now. Oh well, maybe someday I'll do it.

                              It all depends on what you mean by shortcut.

                              I think it is a shortcut because its all new stuff, and the only thing I had to really do, was bolt on the m3 brakes in place of mine. didn't need to take out the trailing arms or disconnect the ebrake at all.

                              It's just another way to do it, and its shorter, with less parts being swapped. :)

                                this is nothing new - the info to 5-lug swap the rears in this maner has been covered numerous times in that forum.

                                the 17"-steelie-look is cool as shit
                                the thickness of spacer and cost per rim sucks balls
