Chris, I had no idea you were getting the whole car repainted, when did this come about? Did I miss a thread somewhere?
Probably the door handles to keep the ease of opening the doors, and the mouldings to keep his doors from hitting things and/or things hitting his doors.
Not everyone is into the shaved body panels look.Comment

no, not the whole car. just the parts that were damaged, and a few areas I had touched up. painting the whole car would have cost a lot more money, and taken a lot more time.. and I don't know how much more of the 318iSlow I can take :p
it got sprayed today.. haven't seen it yet though, and don't get to until monday. :(Comment

I'm actually hoping this is failed humour more than a genuine response.Comment

I was just talking about taking them off for painting, not perminately, shoot me a line if you want help with the transfercase after break...
Hey at least you were kinder to the car than the previous owner of my 318is parts car...

well paint is pretty much done! they need to buff it out and there's a couple things they need to fix but I should have it back by the end of the week. seeing the core support all clean and shiney really makes me want to just paint the whole damn car.. eventually. :)
pics:
the car is still partially masked off until they fix a couple of their mistakes. I still have to tweak the hood a little bit, clean it up and polish the underside. but it is so light that the spring mechanism is way too much for it.. when this thing pops open it nearly jumps off the car!Comment
