Gee, the kid actually worries about it running more than the way that it looks, he must be in bred. By the way him keeping it running is the first step in improving it's beater status.

Mike don't drive down to Palm Beach in that awful looking car, It may run well enough but it's looks will scare the socialites.

I too have an eta, and decided to work with what I have. Late model plastics all around, and a turbo to compensate for its quickness factor of 0.

            :p

Thank you, sir. I love when people spend tons of money on detailing and cosmetic stuff and have a car that is not mechanically solid... It's such a good strategy. Everyone knows that wheels, a drop, and plastic bumpers are the first things you should do to your new E30...

Mike, don't ever wash or wax it... lol... Just make it fast and handle good, then eventually paint it or something, then start taking care of the paint. Until then, if I remember what it looks like currently, I wouldn't spend money on the paint because it's not really gonna do you much good.

Haha, it's cool to be an asshole.

Maybe he wants the early arches/tails? You can't tell me the 'sagging ass' on late model cars looks good. It's all about preference and weighing the pros and cons.

That's the truth. I like plastic bumpers and late tails and probably low arches best. Back in the day there was no question but these days I see a cool diving board car and understand why people like them. Don't get why you would do a bumper swap? I would just buy the bumpered car, but then again maybe you like early tails and grundy arches. Bottom line do what you want... Make your own decisions.

thanks for all the positive and negative comments. i respect everything you guys say, except for Ben Careful, cause he is just an e-asshole.

and i bought the car from mr deagle, because it was more than just an "E30". it was something i put hours of time into, had memories in, and just loved, not because it was a late model, but because it was something i could work with and that i knew i would enjoy.

and i do enjoy every minute with this car.

and i bought the car for more than just appearence. that shouldnt be the only reason you buy a car. i also bought it for the fun factor, and the availability i had with it.

bottom line is, the car is what it is, regardless of if you like it or not. every morning and every night i drive it and i have fun. thats all that should really matter.
