I agree, the rims are sick just not on that E30.

They look like they fit fine. Maybe the 235/40 is just too much for your car. A 215/40 would eliminate any rubbing but I bet you got the 235's for a reason... What suspension are you running? Might want to consider a stiffer spring/shock combo.

      They look great.

      You just need different tires.

I like 'em. Where are they rubbing? As somebody said, maybe you need to be running a little stiffer suspension with rolled fenders, too.

If you end up just hateing them let me know, I think they would be sweet on my car. Love the bumpers, get a euro front valence and fogs or do what I did and manipulate the US valence to look euro.

wheels look great, i wish they were 16's tho.

wheels dont fit correct unless they rub on stock fenders.

You spent 2k on wheels and you're swallowing the shop's choice? I'd talk to the shop, if he told you they'd fit without rubbing, and they do ---- he should get you new ones and deal with returning to j-line.

Wheels go very nicely with your e30. Can you elaborate on the rubbing, probably an easy fix.
Btw, if you want something done right, gotta do it yourself.

                                Well I'll explain the issue:

                                wheel spec 17x8 et20
                                tire size 17-235/40

The rear is rubbing a little to the inside of the fender, but I'm not too worried about that at this point. Major issue is the front. It's rubbing in 3 different areas inside the fender.

front of the wheel (the plastic covered piece),

                                the actual fender piece,

and the inside of the wheel in the rear (where the chassis and plastic covers are)

At this point the guy that sold me the wheels is offering to get me smaller tires looking at going with 215 up front and 225 in rear. He's also going to slap on some m3 control arms for me as well and he said that will put my caster up 1/4'' to prevent the rubbing of the back part of my tire. If it all works I'm keeping them if it doesn't I'm going to have to let them go. That's my only way of seeing things as this point. Why keep it if I can't enjoy the luxury of driving the car the way I want it and having the wheels that looks good with it. Either way it seems like they'll do whatever for me to get it taken cared of at this point.
