Where is it written that all the parts you put on your car have to cost hundreds of dollars and be made specifically for BMW's? I don't understand this rationale at all. I'm sorry we can't all affored M-Tech I kits. And don't feed me the "OMFG Ford parts on a BMW" line. They're molded pieces of urethane that happen to fit the E30. If they came from a 92-95 Audi, I'll bet you anything not a single person would say a word. There almost isn't a single side skirt for the E30 that I like, aside from OEM BMW parts that are either NLA or way too fucking overpriced. I love the way these look, and if that depresses you, I don't know what to tell you.
Now I can't wait to get them installed. I'm going to get a huge windshield banner made that says "BODY KIT BY FORD".
In my eyes I see a lot of folks here jumping on the bandwagon of "Bash on FORD"...yes they are crap but I think most people already know that. For those who don't, they needn't to be bothered. Let them be.
P.S. Not one of your posts that I have read did I think otherwise.

The skirts wrap under the body around the rocker panel. Cabrio rockers don't swoop as far under the body as the standard rockers do.

At any rate, it's nothing worth arguing over. No one has to like them, most people seem to, and only a handful don't. That's their opinion, and they're entitled to it.

Originally posted by Mr. Anderson View PostPrecisely. They are nothing more than molded pieces of urethane that have a Ford logo stamped into them. The funny thing is that NO ONE outside of the handful of people making a big deal about it here would ever know, much less give a damn. I've told several friends and other people about it, and they all think it's awesome that they fit, and that they were so cheap. One guy I told said "Hey, at least a Ford Taurus came in useful for something!". :D

Here is a idea, you know how some e30 with NO skirts look so cool cause the front air dam is So much lower then the rest of the car? Hence, making the front of the car look like a brick wall?
What if you painted the bottom, just say inch or 2 of the skirts black? You'd get a "body kit" feel to the skirts, but still have the aggressive "flying brick" feel...Plus a bit of protection from rocks...and a very factory kind of look...
Might be worth a P-shop at least...
