The cars aren't that interesting to look at, they don't have any performance merit, and they suck at the autox. The only halfway decent Taurus was the old SHO, and even then only because it was a stick with a really good engine.

You had to see the guys face when i went to the junk yard to get mine. He looked at me like"What dumbfuck fixes up a Taurus?" Then i told him that i was putting them on a mid 80's BMW. So he said, If it fits and it is cheaper then he'd do it too. Of course this took place in a junk yard in West Virgina.

They do, I used to know one! He thought the SHO was the king of automobiles, he worshiped them. He had multiple Tauruses (Tauri?), Escorts and other crappy Fords in the two years I knew him. They were all he ever talked about. Nice guy, but poor taste in automobiles, in my not-so-humble opinion.
