I read that, then I fell asleep at my desk for like 35 minutes. I just got back up and I'm feeling sleepy again because of Uncle's equally long winded post that positions his totally platonic feelings towards you, but in reality wants you to feel up his sweepin' and whittlin' muscles that he built up while interning at VSR1.org whittling \\\Wild knobs with nothing more than a Dremel Tool, a few double cut files, and some crocus cloth with your equally strong mechanics hands that have been toned and honed by starting the threads on 354 M14 Z3 subframe locknuts.

I love Kellie, in a totaly non-emotional/physical/internet/societal/universal sort of way because she doesn't get all uppity and grumpy for no reason. She's able to see the sarcasm/instigationary tone of my posts and gracefully step right over. ;)

I have been nothing but impressed with every Subaru I've ever driven... in the snow/rain. The only one I absolutely hated was that abomination they called the SVX or whatever it was? I have to say I even enjoyed the Impreza 2.5 over the A4Quattro I drove back to back.

Well, it sounds like you're on the right track. The only thing you need to work on is understanding and acknowledging the SVX for its incredible, overwhelming beauty. That was the car that started it all for me. I remember going to the dealership with my dad when I was 5 years old and picking up his brand spankin' new 1992 SVX. He sold it when I was 15, and I still regret letting him. I miss that car so much.

...and fwiw, when you get parts at cost and can do all your own maitenance with a full shop at your disposal... it sure as heck makes life a lot easier owning one of those "silly special" cars. I couldn't afford my M3 if I didn't have those priveledges.

My parts guy also has an '88 iX. He is singlehandedly responsible for my empty bank account.

I have to admit I too loved the SVX. That little window was so cool! I always secretly wanted one, but could never admit it to my family. (Porsche, and MB were the only words spoken in our house)
But the SVX was always S.E.X. to me.

i threw the exact same one away when i got my first e30. i thought it was ugly and just got in the way of my elbow/arm during shifting.

only after is when i found out they sell on ebay for ~$200!!!!

That's an expensive mistake...oops! The armrest came with my car, and I hated it at first, but it's grown on me.

I was talking to a friend at work about those armrests today, actually. He said he used to hate installing them back in the day when the cars were new because he thought the flimsy cup holders were totally ridiculous, and I have to agree. What the hell is the point of that cup holder?!
