Everyone say hello to my new (Dakar) daily.

Qimis, badass photo dude and owner of the famous white M-Tech II euromobile took this shot for me. We're going out to do a bunch more soon (in the daylight this time).

It's a late-'95 Dakar Yellow M3, mod list in my sig. Just a fun everyday car while I do some work to the E30 (which probably won't be done for the next 2 years). The only planned mods are a MarkD chip (just because he's awesome), and wheels (I got the Contours for winter use, summer shoes are with euro3 getting refinished right now).

Whatre the plans for the e30?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

E30: Paint & body, increasing chance of a couple more cylinders...

The M3 has 157k miles now (California car). I spent $3k on it the first week and a little bit after, here's the breakdown:

                      Lifters
                      Crankshaft sensor
                      Upper timing tensioner
                      Timing side tensioner
                      Coolant
                      Vanos gasket
                      Oil change
                      Brembo F&R rotors
                      Hawk HPS F&R pads
                      Flex disc
                      Selector shaft seal
                      Output shaft seal
                      Spark plugs
                      Ignition coil boots
                      Headlight switch bulb
                      HVAC bulb
                      Cluster bulbs
                      Passenger fog bracket
                      New fogs
+ the rest of the sig mods...

I knew what the car would need going in, I didn't want a "supposedly" cream puff car that will nickel and dime me for the next 2 years. One shot, did everything that looked even slightly old, move on happily.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

                      Jay

Very cool, Jay. I would certainly not object to an E36 M3 as a DD. Not a fan of Dakar, but it does look nice there. Love the wheels!
