I don't know, maybe it's just me, but it was distracting being so dark in the car even with the side windows down. Maybe it was just my closterphobia ;)

no its not just you. tint has no place on a track car. why in the hell would you want to impair your vision while driving a car at its limit? i hate tint in any form and my cars dont have a/c and it gets hot here too. maybe not 115 arizona hot but its hot in the summer.

I've always felt that older cars (from the 80's) look ghetto with dark tint. If you do a 45% or 35%, it will be a clean look. But any darker is ghetto IMO.

Here's my DD E39 with 20% tint all around. I would never go darker than 20% for a street driven car unless you never, ever drive it at night. Raxe, I would be willing to bet yours is the 30% you asked for, it looks pretty light compared to mine.

i've had 2 cars tinted, both at 35%, both were tracked. i don't like tint on the track (rear view mirror is quite inhibited) it's not that you CAN'T see, it's just harder, to trust a quick look. and if you've ever been on a track you know it's almost just as important to know what's going on BEHIND you as in front of you. tint can look great on newer cars, but older cars look kinda ghetto w/ tint i think. takes away from the classy-ness of the older german cars..

tintzz on my e36.. looked good enough to deal w/ the darkness sometimes. i'm not @ the track every weekend..

tint doesn't fit an e30 well IMO tho..

My car has 15% on the back window, 20% on the back side windows, and 35% on the side front windows.

Mine mainly serves as a track car and I have the tint left over from when I drove it daily. I can honestly say there is no problem with looking out the back window, being stuck with an m42 I'm doing it a lot.

I have 25% in the back I believe.

Tinted windows are illegal here in Iceland!

My old car had 35% front and rear, didn-t bother me at all, but it really bothered the police...

Actually, Mars receives more sunlight than Mercury (in terms of candlehours) per year, due to Mercury's thick cloud layer.

But yeah, double limo and 20% seems a bit silly. Unless, of course, you are a celebrity and wish to avoid Paparazzi.

I really like the 35%, Borat. Looks really good on your car.

I have no idea what is on my car. The passenger side is torn so I'm gonna have to get it redone soon. I've never had a problem at the track and it is great at night because I don't have to dim the rearview (not that I would anyway...) Normally I don't like tint on older cars, but on the rear 3 like this it is nice and looks pretty good. Plus, I can still see easily through the side mirrors.

I took off all of those stupid stickers, too. They were for some company called the racer's edge. There was a fox racing one over the center brake light. The stickers really looked like crap...stupid previous owner ;)
