    yet again...roller paint! teaser :)

I am getting close. I am going to throw on one more coat, then finish painting the taurus skirts, rear mtech 2 replica valence, and IS lip.

Cant wait to get done. It has been a lot of work, but it has been well worth it!

Thanks 2 M3fan4eva! His car was the first one I saw that had been roller painted.

more pics in about a week!

Don't forget about the fender lip. Looks good. I'm curious to see the longevity of this kind of paint on automotive applications. Does the paint use a catalyst at all? Lacquer paints didn't and they dry up like a lake bed in 10 years..

well, it sounds funky and looks good from 10ft away, but...

I am finishing up the prep work on the 91 vert that I have, it had so many dings and scratches, etc.. I just can't see how you can use a roller on that. The car has so many edges and hard to get spots where roller would simply not be able to apply the paint.
I mean if you don't care and just want a quicky, then it's ok, otherwise it should be done properly with the spray gun in the spray booth IMHO...

Looks like that vert is going to need a nice THICK coat of primer to block all those low spots out.

my buddies been working on rollering his car. the key is thin thin coats and lots of them spread out over enough time to get them to dry. i belive about 6 coats or so. Im doing my track car next spring.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

but why wouldnt you just thin out the "rollerpaint" really thin, and just spray it on through a gun? seems like a lot less work.

I have to agree though M3fan4eva's car does look great in pics.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Also what wheels are you rolling, they've got some nice dish on them. Might want to consider a nice suspension swap as well...you look like you need it.

                    ...

roller paint, tried it on my bumper... if you detail your car and you want a nice glossy shine, and good reflection... dont do it. The only real color that would work without seeing any blemish is white. Everything else, depends on your own experience and need for paint job.s

this is probably a stupid question but what is "roller" paint?

like the kind you paint walls with?
