    GlossHaus E30 Results

Final results from this thread earlier:

I went a little overboard with the tape before the polish, glaze and waxing - mainly practice for the Shark:

All done a bit later...with the trim, etc. done (even some cheesy wheel shine):

Next mini-project: sampling the wares of DRCOLORCHIP for the rock chips...

    Next!

Overall I'm really happy. A random orbital isn't the scary thing it was before, and GlossHaus has the iX shining as much as it can for my investment in work. One of these days I'll get to a full-scale polish of the hood and roof, which have etching/acid rain issues, but I really worked on the hood and the difference is amazing.

I'll wash the M635 thoroughly over the holidays, and then take a slow and careful approach over the winter to getting it to look nice. It has already reclaimed the space in the garage...

      Not cheap, but worth it.

The initial setup is a kit, and the liquids can be purchased as you run out after that.

LOL - I'm leaving the iX stock until the springs are tired, and I might go a small step lower.

Yes - Stone guard in front of the rear wheels - is pretty aged now, but the car is a beater. As it sits, I'd call it one of the nicer 10-footers out there... ;)

The color is Lazurblau Metallic. I like it a lot for a stock color.

Funny - I've never been a "drop" guy, but looking at these particular pix makes me want to do it.

Might be something I do if my business takes off a bit...

it's an ix - leave it exactly the way it is (although i'd have that front valance repainted)

                              Good work

                              - did you burn through the paint at all?
                              - how many different compounds did you use?
