Get in touch with DTRGuy - seriously.

He can hook up an 034 for probably a LOT less than Haltech, and will be way better for you than MS.

Maybe if I bring mine to the picnic you can help me dial in the After-start. That's one thing that I have not been able to dial down for the life of me. I just live with the impossible first five seconds, and then move on to enjoy life and motoring. :p

Dave, I'll give him a call tomorrow once we see the ratio's on the dyno, with the O2 sensor staying in place ;) heheh

              TJ..........YA, it's nuts....know of any 16 x 10's that I can fit in the rear :)

Nando, ya i'm in Lexingon, KY nowadays....a bit far from WA :) But ya, I'm totally leaning towards a euro S50......i'll give it a couple of weeks to see if the turbo grows on me though. Hey, any chance you know of any ix's that are for sale? My wife wants to replace her X5 with one.

RWdrift & Dave, the guy I took it to today doesn't like MS and said it lacked in functions compared to other standalone systems like Haltech. I personally don't care about that as long as it tunes cuz right now it's not running the way I like my cars to run. I'll ck out the 034, maybe this will be affordable.

It depends on the Haltech (just like it depends on the MS you're comparing it to, with which firmware). The only thing that my friends ek6 Haltech does that mine doesn't is play pong. No joke.

I ain't having this argument with you again.

Yes, you can make MS work. And I know it works just fine for you.

Its a great shadetree DIY option.

Thanks Dave... seriously though Chris... I run a very different operation here. What I do you have to pretty much see for yourself. And for the money nothing beats 034 (I have two MS systems and well they are both being replaced!).

update: got the O2 sensor secured in place but the engine was running way too lean again on the dyno. Fuel pressure is fine, so it looks like an engine management problem which is really no surprise. Pity the previous owners used to occassionally boost this up to 12-16psi cuz at 5psi and 3500rpm it is WAAAY lean. The injectors appear to not allow the fuel the fuel pump is sending to pass through.

For now we've removed the boost controller and replaced it with a one way valve so that all the boost goes through the wastegate. This way I can at least drive the car properly instead of always keeping it below 3k rpm (ie below boost).

                            *sigh*

had the new car up on a lift recently so I took a pic of the custom 3" stainless exhaust w/ borla xr1 rear silencer.....too late though cuz I'm half deaf after driving around for a week w/ just a 2ft downpipe

i did notice a small leak at the exit from the silencer...rest is ok though, just dirty :(

You can't really tuck it up anymore on an e30, Mine is nearly touching the subframe, and still scrape on occasion.
