Yeah, the motor came from jajou. He's a good kid, he built a sick car and sold it to Abe out of nowhere it seems

Update
Thanks guys... I'm really looking forward to driving it daily.
Update: I added a running total cost for the project on the first post. It's probably a little on the expensive side, but I want everything replaced that I can while we are in there. On Saturday we finished up the wiring harness and got everything back in and hooked up. Car started fine... except now I know why the PO wasn't running power steering. That pump was f'd and leaked like a bitch from the snout. Soooooo... we swapped the PS pump from the original motor to jajous and all is well again with the power steering system. We also found out it leaks brake fluid like a mofo... so I ordered a brake master cylinder (rebuilt). We also put the driveshaft back on and while I was at it I replaced the guibo and the driveshaft center support bearing which has both just about disintegrated. On Sunday she moved under her own power!!! Took it off the jackstands and drove it out of the garage to turn it around. Then we removed the both strut assembly as a whole and both control arms so we could get it ready for the new ones. Phew those 22mm lock nuts next to the motor mounts were fun... if you like contortionist acts. That's me in the engine bay being an idiot. Hard to get 6'8" in there let me tell you.

Much Needed Update
Wow, was going through my sub'd threads and came across this. LOL I think it's time for an update seeing as how the car has changed just a little bit.
Well in keeping with the running total on the first page... I've spent a total of somewhere around $7500.00
Original mods/maintanence: $3168.02
Suspension/wheels/tires: $1100
Turbo: $2000
Lighting/LEDs/grilles: $375
IS Lip/Sable skirts: $300
Interior/misc: $400
Here is a pictorial history of the car beginning in Dec 07 when I was looking at the car through current.
At dealer December 07. I have a bunch of pics from there which is good, really shows how far this car has come.
January 08. This is after the tow home and a good wash/wax.
All 3 of the above shots were taken in February of 08. This is when I did the billy sports, H&R sports, and euro smilies/grille. Also added euro plate filler. Installed my first stereo setup to the car. LOL lost a few HP from the weight this added.
These 2 were taken in March 08. I had started working on my LED light conversions... fronts, sides, and tails. Interiors came later as well.
These are from April 08. I finished the LED conversions and got an is lip spoiler. Also got some MHW smoked turn signals because my previous ebay ones were cheesy and made the LED conversion look like ass.
May of 08 I got the windows tinted, windshield eyebrow, and added the ring sticker.
June of 08 saw the addition of Mercury Sable side skirts. I painted them, they came out ok and are holding up decently. Also I stripped/sanded/painted my old weaves nagaro-ish with silver lips.
These are from August 08. I added HIDs to the smileys.
March 09. Updated the stereo to a much better sounding and cleaner setup. It also weighed about 30lbs less, so that was a bonus.
Added wheels to the car in July of 09. Also had the power antenna shaved/deleted. Did a magnaflow muffler exhaust somewhere in here as well with some generic tips. Sounds good though.
July of 09 saw some BIG improvements. Turbo time. This box came from Danny with some of the turbo stuff. Installed Megasquirt, 3" exhaust, FMIC/piping, heat coating, and other turbo related stuff.
March of 2010 saw the addition of a Spec stage II clutch because the stock clutch was not having anything else to do with the turbo's added power.
December 2010. Here's where she sits now. Just finished installing an inverter, plugs seen below glove box on center console. Interior is still clean and the dash is still crack free. I'm pretty religious about cracking windows and using my sun visor. I also machine cut/polished/waxed the paint to remove oxidation that had started to really piss me off. Worked a treat. Today I also did the dual trunk light mod. Grabbed one at the yard and wired up some LEDs in it to match the other one. Took about an hour but makes a huge difference in light output. Worthwhile mod.
That's pretty much where she is at now, though I did add some "respect your elders" vinyls from mucci. I still have more plans for this car so I'll try to be better about updating this thread.
edit: I'll update this thread with links to the threads on major mods like the turbo, led's, stereo, etc."A good memory for quotes combined with a poor memory for attribution can lead to a false sense of originality."
