First, I'm by no means wealthy. I'm careful about model selection, patient for the right car, and I buy at the bottom of the depreciation curve with the intention of keeping a car forever.
I bought, what is to the general Ferrari admirer, the least loved one you can buy, a 348. I was, like most other Ferrari shoppers, initially dismissive of the 348. I've looked off and on for almost 10 years, and the longer I waited, the bigger my budget. When ready to pull the trigger, I could have swung a 430, but I came back to the 348 for specific reasons. It's really the best kept secret in the Ferrari lineup.
