We used a polyurethane based paint on our new workshop floor. Shit's harder than the concrete is! Oil wipes straight off it, but the UV changes the colour near windows/doors a tiny bit. Here's an old pic of it, the shed is nearly complete now!

Can only see about 1/4 of it in that pic... Upstairs is my own living area that i'm building, big bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, the lot :) Putting a hoist in soon, already got the lathe and mill going along with my own area for the my car too.

Small thread hijack, here's some old pics from the build :)

It's a special self supporting curved roof, pretty speccy. The sheets are rolled into the huuuuge curves, then crimped together in sections. We dont like doing things the same as everyone else... ;)

Ps. Best of luck in your new venture :) those airstreams are pretty mad, never seen one here before.

Thats a cool structure, never seen one like that before!
Thanks for all the feedback guys!! Well, progress slowed down a bit later in the week due to some materials missing (brackets for the walls, we were short 24 of them and had to have some made locally to keep the job going, the insulation didn't get delivered on time and held us back 2 days).

The roof and most of the siding should be done tomorrow so I will have some better pics to share after that is compleated.

Quick update for you guys.... I will get some more pics in a few days once more of the grading and start of landscaping is finished. I am having the driveway paved next week on wed/thursday so I will have more pics after that is done. There is some cool stuff I am doing with the driveway which all you die hards will love.
I am exhausted. I have been working out here non-stop and don't want to stop until I am done with a lot more stuff. Off to bed for now. Enjoy!

Maybe it's just me, but those roll up doors look kind of narrow. Could you have gone wider? Was there a reason not to?

Looks to me that the doors are between the main supports of the center of the walls they are on.

                          Looking good Ryan!

Looks like standard 10' next to the Sliding Glass doors in comparo. Why would ya need wider?

There are 6 3'x10' skylights which make it very light inside during the day. I ordered some custom T5 light fixtures with motion sensors intrgrated into them. They utilize four 4' T5 54w 5000k bulbs stacked 2+2 to create an 8' fixture, 2 bulbs wide. I am lighting the rear of the shop a lot more than the front due to the majority of work being performed back there.
The rear area by the lifts will have roughly 75-100 foot-candles of light, so it will be very bright back there. I was going to do metal halide's but they are very expensive, enery consuming and require long warm-up times. With these fixtures you get light instantly and they last 20,000hrs. Bulbs are $5 ea and take a lot less energy to run. With the motion sensors being adjustble from 0-30min I will be able to keep energy costs at a minimum.

10' by 12' high. I can back my dodge truck in there with the wide mirrors and it clears by 4-6" on each side. Just have to be careful backing a trailer into the building...
