You should have gone straight the hospital afterwards to get the medical claims started on the right foot. My brother had a similar accident years ago and felt fine until the following days. Which made it harder to make a medical claim and ultimately a injury claim against their insurance. He was able to get something out of it after fighting it, but it mainly just covered his chiropractic costs at that point with 9 or so months of therapy.

to bad it was a 89 is. GO TO THE DOCTOR and get checked out! if youre planning to make any medical claim you have to have consistent documentation. trust me on this! heres what i got rear ended in:
rear ended at about 45mph, by a lady that FELL ASLEEP behind the wheel in her new camry


my head went out the back window of the EXTENDED CAB

bent the steering wheel with my left arm tearing the ligaments in my shoulder


i lost my case against the ladies insurance company. well not completely, i got my bills paid, the truck paid for ($4000) and $3000 for pain in suffering which the attorney ate up most of. all because i didnt go to the doctor much and i didnt stay in physical therapy. believe it or not, you get paid to lie.
GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!!
