Good, honest move. Even with 300/475 rates my GCs still make my teeth chatter in our climate-bashed road system. If it wasn't for the height adjustment (raising the car ala 'ix in the winter) I would seriously consider downgrading my setup too.

I totally understand your choice stu, sometimes I miss the much better ride of my car when it was stock.. it actually handled okay and was still fairly firm. now I know every bump, ridge and pothole on the roads I travel and drive accordingly to avoid them as much as possible, but the daily drive is still a teeth rattling experience.

I've been driving a bit more and am having a blast rotating this thing. :D After driving on stiff springs for a few years now, it's refreshing to drive the car with a closer-to-stock feel.

          Thanks for the input fellas

Now if we can just sneak it into G-stock next autox ;)

I think most people would just bite down and deal with the stiffness for the decrease in body roll. I don't think 4x4 mode is going to be the new fad.

But, in that case, Erick's ride would be the pimp shit. :P

edit: meant to put would, not should

Robert, I assure you that I'm not starting any trends, it was just a simple suspension swap. If I choose, a set of RD springs and fresh Bilstein Sports await at my house. If I want something different, bolting those up is no matter, but for now, I'm lovin' this setup. I returned to Charlotte tonight and the softer suspension is very comfortable on these roads, and I can still stretch the car out to surprising limits. :P

The ride height is up there, like I said, on par with a stock 318i/iS, with the nose being ducked down slightly, with the 6 up front. Though you can tell that from the pictures, I'm sure.

I was just joking around that maybe everyone will want to give up a harsh ride for fender gap. It's good to hear you are enjoying your new setup.
