That's a great deal and looks like a great car! Don't get scope creep. Fix it, and enjoy it.

If you find yourself 67 pages deep into someone's turbo LS swap build thread over the next few days........ close the browser and recite "I'm going to keep it OEM+ and enjoy it" at least 200 times.

In regards to the head, I would just fix what you have, provided it's doesn't need any crazy work. Most used, non-rebuilt heads at this point in the game are a gamble anymore. Replace rockers. If you replace rockers, replace the cam. Do guide seals. Don't get a regrind cam.

    The block is likely fine.

Im going to echo what Bobby is saying. Spend some money and get the head properly refreshed with new guides, seals, rockers, get a cam and reinstall and GO!

depending on the state in which you reside will dictate my the priority of my answers. If you live in Cali where it seems like m20b25s are abundant, find one from someone wanting to swap and pick it up and throw it in immediately and enjoy the car. If you can't find a m20b25, then consider picking up a rebuilt m20b25 (but those will quickly get expensive). If you're bold and feel like you can handle it, swap in a 24V and just enjoy it. Not sure about your financial status, but like AWDBOB & 2mAn keep that car simple, focus on getting it on the road. Seat time is the best mod.
