in retrospect I may have been able to machine a smaller steering linkage (w/out collapse protection) and have made it fit...

    next time... :D

        its been 2 days :(

thinking about it, you may need some contrast in the wheels, maybe too close to the car color?

I have been reading the thread, but just decided to check out your website of the build. I really like how you have side notes to things! It's fun to hear how you initially thought about something and what you came to realize later on.

You may have had little interest initially, but you certainly have one interested party here. I won't post much but know that there are many of us that thoroughly enjoy reading what you do and looking at the pictures!

          Keep up the excellent work.

i too enjoy the concept of "oh, lets build an e30 with a reasonable (low) budget" and ending in "since my first mod overcame my budget, i just built a spaceship and produced parts to make it suitable for interstellar travel on my own."
            No more e30s for me.

i like what your doing with the car and all the fab work is inspiring but i have to say im not a big fan of the colors you are using on the car and the motor parts. to each his own.

Wow, this is a badass build. What you are doing is so far over my head it's not even funny. It's inspirational to say the least. Keep doing what your doing and keep us updated when you have the time!

Had some of my colleagues tig on some bracing I made... I tried to trianglate it to the turbo flange as best I could, It's hard because of spacial constraints. The Leg with the bolt hole bolts to a tab on the motor mount.

I'm diggin' the multi-colours - although that could just be because i'm partially colour blind.

Cool machining work too, it's nifty having that kind of stuff at your disposal.
