I lime the shit out of it. It is not very road trip worthy any more though. Not sure how I'm gonna get it to the picnic. :p

Forgot to mention--I tried this for the hell of it, and it seemed to work very well. Definitely just a bandaid fix though, yes.

Anyway a recent pic--got rid of my fogs for some Hella 550 driving lights.

I am not impressed really. My high beams are way brighter than these already. I think I am just going fogless for now.

Honestly, it will sound stupid and it's kind of a little OCD thing but I hate seeing the rev counter on the right side of the tach when I'm just cruising. I'd like to get an M3 cluster to be honest, mainly for other reasons but partially so the dials won't seem like I'm "stressing" the car as much when I'm on the highway. :p

It's fun, and it also discourages speeding on the highway. When I get tired of it I'll probably get something longer and build it for more lock.
You could always go for broke and drop in a 4.27 from a Z3...

    4k @ 80mph isn't that bad, is it?

I marked it but it could have been off for all I know. I know they are balanced together. But if the driveshaft was out of balance, there would always be a vibration. There is only vibration when I romp on it, which tells me that the u-joints are binding when torque is applied. I also noticed that two out of four of the joint bearings were in really sorry shape (aka basically frozen) when I removed the driveshaft.

    I do not have a 1:1 box in this car, it's a G260. 4.10 with a 1:1 would be insane--maybe it'd work with a track-only car that revved to 8k or so.

I'd most probably just settle with a 3.73 lsd.. It compliments the m50 pretty well. Also want a 2.93 on the side just for when I do long distance drives like bimmerfest lol..

and are you just going to rebuild your loud diff or get a pre-built diff?

I am afraid to clutch kick with these tires. Haven't launched it yet, not sure if I will.

    ...I probably will.

Oh 4.10 is fun around town without a doubt ;) Clutch kicks are a breeze.
