It depends. If I go for awhile without railing on the brakes they stop making noise. But when I get a good layer of pad deposit on the rotors and heat up the pads they are horrible.

Last weekend was an autox! First one I've actually driven in. I wound up coming in 38th out of 133 cars including open wheeled karts and hoosier shod Evos etc. Not too bad.

Here's the most entertaining/slidey run, I think this was a 41.1 - sorry about the watermark, I had to use some crap to edit it since I filmed it upside down

Here's my best run of the day (40.105, during the fun runs of course)

Here's me driving, hah (skip to 1:49)

    Fun times :)

Awesome! I'm surprised how easily you seemed to catch the back end with the R888's.

      Go here be happy!

Another autox! I codrove my friend's stock Evo on all seasons which was a lot of fun

Launching a stock evo gives it a lot of squat

Anyway that's not what this thread is about. The wheee30 was still 1.5 seconds faster than what I pulled in the Evo (and just 1.9 seconds off the FTD in SM). E30s are awesome to make dance around a tight course.

I've got a passenger in this one, hellooo revlimiter

okay okay. Just for you guys I got a DSSR

24V swap version means it's twisted. gangsta.

It's purty. Funny that it's going into this dirty thing

                        Aaaaaaand it's dirty.

God that was a bitch to install. First impressions are that it's super tight since there's a lot of friction introduced by the "squeezing" action of the DSSR. It'll get better as it breaks in.

Part of me thinks that if I searched hard enough on McMasters I could piece something together for less then $40. Or, it's just wishful thinking.

Not to shit on the thread, but you most likely can. Or just have a shop weld something similar for $20 like a friend of mine did.

That said... it's a pretty piece of machinery and I'd definitely pay for it if I had the cash.

It's just a piece of metal with two holes in it. But it's also machined to a certain tolerance. I didn't want to deal with the fabbing so I just bought one. Even with the old shitty shift joint in there I can feel the only shifter play now is in the internals of the trans. Feelsgoodman.
