Strict budget, slow restoration. *Now with moar budget*
OMGezzz those R888s. How does the rear end feel after you installed the subframe bushings ? I am probably going to be going the same route this year with some GC coils.
Better, but I changed a lot out at the same time so I can't attribute it to just the bushings. I need to space the diff down still, my driveshaft's still binding.
It's a fun gear. Too low on the highway though, and it doesn't lock enough for the R888s. For regular all-seasons etc it should probably be fine though.
I think I am going to get a 3.25 and build it. If you still want the 4.10 when that's done I'll sell it to you.
dude! your a fucking god! i hate working in my parkinglot because i always gather a crowd of random neighbors and it pisses me off...you sir are insane. but i love this thread, much props!
Honestly, it will sound stupid and it's kind of a little OCD thing but I hate seeing the rev counter on the right side of the tach when I'm just cruising. I'd like to get an M3 cluster to be honest, mainly for other reasons but partially so the dials won't seem like I'm "stressing" the car as much when I'm on the highway. :p
I like to think of it like an airplane - gauges at 12'oclock are good things.
That's also why I think these are dumb:

Damn man, where do you get the know how? Honestly, I'm afraid to do a front suspension refurbish let alone a heart transplant.
Honestly, I will read around first and then just dive into most of these jobs. A little planning, physical intuition and a fucking-get-it-done attitude can get you a long way. Just keep in mind you will probably break some stuff.
Washed it today, so I took some pics. Front wheels were pitch black from HP+/wh33lhop driving brake dust. Almost looks nice now.
How are your HP+ noise-wise? I found them to be obnoxious, they squealed non-stop, but I'm not sure if they had any anti-squeal paste on them at all. By the time the PBR ceramics were worn to the backing plate in the rear (PO paired them with Front HP+...) the front HP+ pads were only half worn, but the front rotors looked like they'd been through hell. The HPS aren't nearly as good for stopping power, but I love how quiet, dustless, and consistent they are.
