damn.. even i almost don't feel like racing that car now.. better build another one.. lol..
love that GP brand strut brace :)
You are not allowed to speed in this car. Dont want anything to happen to it.
Yesterday with all the suspension complete and the car on the ground I pushed on it, the car doesnt move, it is so damn solid. Looking forward to getting it back from the welder so we can test drive it in the empty lot next door.
Ok, all majors are done, so now onto the little things we need to tie up before completion.
Today (and last night) was the hood pins. Kish went with these Aerocatch latches that are pretty trick. In hindsight, would have been better (more like easier) to go with the top mounts, but these flush mounts do look pretty hot.
Before cutting up his hood, i did a practice run on a spare hood we had here. The actual hood has the latches swapped around 180*.
I measured about 12 times, and cut once. On top of that, i started with small drill bits and worked my way up to the cut off wheel.
Test run
Here i am cutting up the red hood. I cut the holes a hair too small on purpose so i could open them up later on.
Finished product
I really like the look. Sorry, forgot to snap pics of the pins, but i'll tell you now, i used existing holes that are on the rad support. Pretty straight forward.
