My exhaust is on vbands so its pretty quick. A clutch can be done in under 2 hours if nothing goes wrong. We had a hell of a time getting the pilot bearing to cooperate so it took a couple hours to re-install. I don't have the terminal bolts for the e36 starter so i have not fired it up yet to see how it feels. Just received my ecu from whodwho so she'll be ready real soon. I'll be removing the driveshaft to install a rebuilt on first though.Leave a comment:

it's not too bad, especially if you're strong, clearances are the biggest PITA for the top bolts, try to do the starter bolts first as they are usually the ones that give me the hardest time.
My technique is bear-hugging the bastard from under the car and having a friend using a pry bar to it, once the top bastard bolts are out it's ~10min to popping off.Leave a comment:

How much of a pain was it to pull the tranny? I may need a new clutch soon..Leave a comment:

Got the clutch and transmission installed today. Also weighed the flywheel for shits and giggles.

Sorry for the crappy cell pics.

I drove ocgrinders car around for a day while i was tuning it and it was not even noticeable. Even with a 3.25 LSD. The clutch effort was though. Could be a work out during rush hour.Leave a comment:

i also have a 4 puck in my rx8, so it's worse. but the chatter on take off has really worn on me over the last 2 years.Leave a comment:

i think it has to do with the composite materials used to make the clutch. They make more noise then organic materials do???
Just a guess...Leave a comment:

I could stand to learn a little more about why clutches chatter (when the springs aren't dead and they're not oil soaked OFC)...Leave a comment:
