Its together but i need to pull the head again to remove a piece of vacuum line that was wedged in between the head and the gasket. I'm just going to unbolt it, tilt it up a little, pull out the debris, and clamp it back. I'm not removing anything from the motor so it should only take about an hour.

Oh its running now. Took it to the adams kart track meet and raped it around the track. I torqued it to 65ft lbs. I'm going to re torque it to 70 and bump it up to 14psi on friday along with installing a 51mm wastegate. Got one of these bad boys but i think the spring is too strong. I'm going to put in a weaker spring off a bosch diverter valve and hopefully that will give me the instant response and get rid of my compressor surge. Either that or i'll cut off some of the existing spring so its not under so much compression.

So today i decided to delve into my compressor surge issue. At first i was just going to install the new blow off valve but decided that was only going to be a bandaid or possibly no change. So the first thing i did was take apart the original BOV and made sure everything was working in order. The BOV had an inner and an outer spring so i removed the inner spring and re installed it. No luck. So removed the vacuum line and held it up to my lip. Almost no suction so i needed to relocate the T. I disconnected wastegate line and plugged it in to the BOV and success. But it was so strong that it barely took any pressure to open the it. So I cut the inner spring in half and reinstalled it and T'd off the wastegate line. Compressor surge like crazy. So i removed the spring. Still surging but not as bad. So i took it apart again and put it together in case i did not seal it correctly. Still surge. Pinched the wastegate line and success. So i guess the wastegate line is too long and uses up a lot of the energy and delays the BOV. So i'm going to have to tap the manifold for a new source.
In other news i made the adapter plate for the e36 tps. Just need to pretty up the modified throttle body and i'll be ready to install.

You might be able to without messing with them too much. You would pull the throttle plate screws and remove the plate, then remove the shaft nut for the linkage and lift the linkage and rotate the shaft set it back down and fasten it all back up. I would highly recommend some blue locktite on the plate screws. Kind of a pain but worth it. ;)

If I screw it up you owe me a new throttle body. LolYour signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

So i finished up the throttle body today. Rotating the shaft turned out a bigger task then i expected but it was a blessing in disguise. As i was lifting everything to rotate the shaft things started popping out like a broken pocket watch. So i figured i might as well do a complete tear down and refurbish it. I'm very happy with the results and i solved my vacuum source problem too. Just need a new check valve and i can install it.
And in case your wondering that is a stock "i" throttle body with the crank case breather and throttle body warmer removed.

Little snip of me putting around at the track. I'm amazed how quiet the exhaust sounds on video. Its quiet but not that quiet.

Got started on the motor mount. I only needed about a quarter incho of additional clearance but I decided to make sure I had room to upgrade.
