So what's it like to drive compared to a typical modified e30 or an e46? Does it drive more like an e30 with better characteristics or an e46?

So glad to see you've (nearly) finished it!

this thing is great. looks a bit of a 2002turbo crossed with an e30.

Umm, a bit like a super light weight E46. Has a really sharp turn in but because it's a bit light in the rear, it's quite oversteery.
Makes it a lot of fun. Feels quite a lot more at home on the track than the road.
But the ABS plays some funny games with light arse end.

put 8 subwoofers in the trunk, should help with oversteer and ABS

This thread is amazing. The flares remind me of an Escort's. Top notch work here.

So, boredom setting in waiting for the slow wheels of bureaucracy to move led me to construct this fake splitter from a piece of ply and a strip of stainless I had lying around ha.

All ready for quick self removal at the first glance of a curb...

Still dont know what to do about that fucking plate.

Also, thinking about sticking a low blow turbo on it. Something to make around 350 fly-horses.
Anyone with any great ideas re std equipment turbos that might fit the bill? Evo or similar? Cause cheep-cheep.

I say a flange mount, hidden underside in the vent the plate is in now, but setup to position the plate between the split bumpers.

                            Congrats on getting it legit!

Drove down to Hampton for the Icebreaker last weekend and while there we set it up on the scales.

No driver and about 1/3 tank of gas. Around 20 ltrs.
A bit more than I was expecting tbh. Also surprised at even weight split front to back.
