went to e30 motorwerks shop in Huntington beach for there 6th annual bbq
kinda of the debut of the car after the paint job and putting all the freshly painted trim back on. I had my buddy howard come with me he owns the green convertible.
all pictures photo credit to bob(blackout)
with howards car
- my new struts on display at the garagistic booth,
- i cut the lower spring perch off,
- josh the fabricator at garagistic welded on the m3 sway bar brackets
- the struts are also getting a gusset welded on to the tube to spindle area.
- new wheel bearings with vorschlag studs
- custom brake backing plates, similar to hard-motorsports.
- i really like this zoomed in and tightly cropped shot that bob took.
- you can see the hood to fender gap, I spent a lot of time getting the gap even on the hood, fenders and door before the car went to paint.
- you can see the beautiful euro trim,
- the euro grills and BMWCCA grill badge
- you can also make out the heavily rolled fenders
the yellow on the high beams is just a lamix yellow film to protect the headlights the low beams and fogs have a sheet of clear film also.
you might not notice at first but these aren't euro smileys, they are us elliposids retrofitted to look like euro smileys, they get the best of both worlds,
the wide beam pattern of us elliposoids(euro ones are more narrow) with the looks of the euro smileys. the work was performed by forum member josh (td325ic) from San Jose Ca.
from his for sale ad you can buy a set here

make a bracket
buy a short electrical 2 gauge wire and crimp some ends on it.
buy a short electrical 2 gauge wire with a post mount and a crimped end.
then add some heavy heat shrink tubing to cover the exposed metal.
install
i used the bolt for the rear bumper shock, so you don't have to drill any holes in the car.
yes yes i need to repaint my battery mount
